Valerie Behiery is a writer, artist, and academic. Apart from a book of French poetry published decades ago, her published writing has been mostly devoted to the arts, specializing in artists from minoritized communities, Middle Eastern and African, in particular. However, she has recently had a short story, two short fiction texts and two pieces memoir appear in a Canadian literary anthology and will be having a cli-fi story published shortly in an environmental magazine.
