One touch
and the whole world swings,
swivels on its axis
like a painted globe.
Clouds swim beneath the lake’s rippled skin,
reeds reach down their roots
like necks, straining for the sunken sun,
while a flock of silvered fish take wing,
soaring through the strange and new.
